How GOONMASTER Premium billing works, the exact steps to cancel, and when refunds apply — for card subscriptions (via SegPay) and one-time cryptocurrency payments (via NOWPayments).
Summary
This policy explains, in plain language, how you are billed for GOONMASTER Premium, how to cancel, and when you can get a refund. It applies together with our Terms of Use; where this page and the Terms overlap, this page is the more detailed, operative statement of our refund and cancellation practices.
- Card subscriptions (processed by SegPay) auto-renew. You can cancel any time — cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Cryptocurrency payments (processed by NOWPayments) are always one-time charges. Nothing auto-renews; access simply ends when the paid period lapses.
- GOONMASTER Premium is a digital service with immediate access. At purchase, EU/UK consumers expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that this waives the 14-day right of withdrawal once performance has begun (Consumer Rights Directive, Article 16(m)).
- We always refund duplicate charges, verified unauthorized charges, and purchases where a fault on our side prevented you from accessing the service at all.
- Before disputing a charge with your bank, contact us — we resolve most billing issues within a few days.
Pricing Recap
GOONMASTER offers a free tier and a single Premium feature set sold in four billing lengths. All prices are in USD. Current prices are always displayed on the Premium page before checkout.
- Monthly — $9.99 per 30 days. Auto-renews on card; one-time with crypto.
- Quarterly — $24.99 per 90 days. Auto-renews on card; one-time with crypto.
- Yearly — $49.99 per 365 days. Auto-renews on card; one-time with crypto.
- Lifetime — $99 one-time. No renewal ever. Available only during the launch window.
Every plan unlocks the same Premium features — the only difference between Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly is the billing length. If we change prices in the future, existing recurring subscriptions keep their original rate until they renew, and we give at least 30 days' notice of any change that affects you. Current pricing is always shown on the Premium page.
How Billing Works
Card payments — SegPay (auto-renewing subscription)
- Card payments are processed by SegPay, our merchant of record for card transactions. SegPay handles all card data under PCI-DSS compliance; we never see or store your card number.
- Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly card plans are subscriptions: they renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the same price, until you cancel.
- Charges appear on your card statement under the discreet billing descriptor SEGPAY.COM*DOPATEQ. It will not include the word GOONMASTER.
- You will receive a payment confirmation email from SegPay for the initial charge and for each renewal.
Cryptocurrency — NOWPayments (one-time, never auto-renews)
- Crypto payments are processed by NOWPayments. Each crypto payment is a single one-time charge that unlocks Premium for the selected plan length (30 / 90 / 365 days, or lifetime).
- Crypto payments NEVER auto-renew. There is no stored payment method and no recurring charge — to extend Premium, you simply pay again before or after your period ends.
- Crypto transactions settle on a public blockchain and never appear on a bank or card statement.
How to Cancel
Cancellation is free, immediate, and available at any time. There is no cancellation fee, no retention call, and no minimum term beyond the period you already paid for. Choose any ONE of the following methods:
Method 1 — In the app (recommended)
- Log in to your GOONMASTER account.
- Open Settings (account menu, top-right).
- Go to the Subscription / Premium section.
- Click “Cancel subscription” and confirm.
- You will see an on-screen confirmation; your subscription will not renew again.
Method 2 — Email us
- Email support@goonmaster.io from the email address on your account.
- Use the subject line “Cancel subscription” and include your account email.
- We process cancellation requests within 2 business days and confirm by reply. A cancellation requested before your renewal date is honored even if our confirmation arrives after it.
Method 3 — Directly through SegPay (card subscriptions)
- SegPay operates a 24/7 self-service consumer portal at cs.segpay.com, where you can locate your purchase by email address or card number and cancel instantly.

What cancellation does
- Cancellation stops the NEXT renewal. It does not cut off the time you already paid for — you keep full Premium access until the end of the current billing period.
- No partial-period refunds are issued on cancellation (except where required by law or covered by the eligibility rules below).
- Crypto purchases have nothing to cancel — there is no recurring charge. Your access ends automatically when the paid period lapses.
- If you cancel and change your mind, you can re-subscribe at any time; your rank, XP, and progress are never deleted by cancellation.
What Happens at Period End
Card subscriptions
If you have not cancelled, your subscription renews automatically on the renewal date and SegPay charges your card for the next period at the same price. If you have cancelled, your Premium access simply ends on the last day of the paid period and your account drops to the free tier.
Crypto purchases
Your Premium access ends automatically when the purchased period (30 / 90 / 365 days) lapses. Nothing is charged. To continue, make a new crypto payment (or switch to a card subscription) from the Premium page.
What you keep either way
Dropping to the free tier never deletes anything. Your account, rank, XP, achievements, and progression history are preserved, and the free feature set (including Gooning mode and the bring-your-own-content player and Companion mode) remains fully available. If you upgrade again later, you pick up exactly where you left off.
Refund Eligibility
EU/UK consumers — 14-day withdrawal right and its waiver
GOONMASTER Premium is digital content / a digital service delivered immediately at purchase. During checkout you are asked to expressly consent to immediate performance and to acknowledge that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once performance has begun, as provided by Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU) and the corresponding provision of the Polish Consumer Rights Act. If you do NOT give that consent, we cannot deliver Premium until the 14-day withdrawal period has expired. If you purchased but never accessed any Premium feature, contact us within 14 days and we will treat a withdrawal request sympathetically.
We will always refund
- Duplicate charges for the same period (verified against transaction records).
- Charges you did not authorize, after verification — report these immediately.
- Purchases where a fault on our side prevented you from accessing Premium at all and we could not fix it within a reasonable time.
- Anything we are required to refund under applicable consumer protection law — nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.
Discretionary refunds
Outside the cases above, refunds are at our discretion, evaluated case-by-case. We are a small team and we try to be fair — if something went wrong with your purchase, tell us what happened and we will look at it honestly.
We do not refund
- “Changed my mind” after accessing Premium features (the withdrawal right was waived at purchase, as above).
- Partial unused time after a cancellation mid-period.
- Subjective dissatisfaction with pacing, audio packs, level design, or other creative decisions.
- Periods in which you simply did not use the service.
- Accounts terminated for violations of the Terms of Use.
How to request a refund
- Email support@goonmaster.io with the subject “Refund request”.
- Include: your account email, the approximate purchase date, the plan purchased, the payment method (card or crypto), and the reason for the request.
- For technical issues, include anything that helps us reproduce the problem (device, browser, screenshots, error messages).
- We respond within 5–7 business days. Approved card refunds are returned to the original payment method via SegPay, typically within 7–10 business days. Approved crypto refunds are handled as described in the next section.
Crypto Payments & Refunds
Why crypto is different
Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible by design. Once a payment is confirmed on-chain, neither GOONMASTER nor NOWPayments can claw it back, cancel it, or reverse it the way a card charge can be reversed. There is also no chargeback mechanism on crypto rails. For this reason, crypto purchases are non-refundable by rail — please double-check the plan, amount, and currency before sending a crypto payment.
How we handle approved crypto refund cases
Where a crypto purchase qualifies for a refund under the eligibility rules above (for example a duplicate payment, or a fault on our side that prevented access entirely), we will offer you one of the following, at your choice where practical:
- Service credit — the equivalent Premium time added to your account (our default and fastest option).
- A crypto refund sent to a wallet address you provide, in the same cryptocurrency where supported. The refund amount is calculated from the USD value of your original purchase; blockchain network (gas) fees are deducted from the refunded amount, and we are not responsible for exchange-rate movement between purchase and refund.
Underpayments and overpayments at crypto checkout (sending the wrong amount) are handled per NOWPayments' processes; contact us and we will help chase them. Never send crypto to any address except the one shown at checkout — we will never DM you a payment address.
Lifetime Purchase Terms
The Lifetime plan ($99, one-time) has a few terms of its own:
- It is a single one-time charge. There is no renewal, no subscription, and nothing to cancel.
- “Lifetime” means the lifetime of your GOONMASTER account on the service: Premium access for as long as the GOONMASTER service operates and your account remains in good standing.
- It is tied to your account and is non-transferable — it cannot be moved to another account, resold, or shared.
- The same withdrawal-right waiver applies as for the other plans: by taking immediate access at purchase, EU/UK consumers waive the 14-day withdrawal right (Article 16(m)). A Lifetime purchase that has never accessed any Premium feature is treated under the same 14-day sympathy rule as other plans.
- If your account is terminated for violations of the Terms of Use, Lifetime access is forfeited without refund.
- Lifetime pricing is a launch-window offer; once the window closes the plan is withdrawn from sale, but already-purchased Lifetime access is unaffected by the withdrawal or by any future price changes.
- In the unlikely event the GOONMASTER service is ever permanently discontinued, we will give Lifetime holders as much advance notice as practical. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Chargebacks — Contact Us First
If you see a charge you do not recognize or believe is wrong, please CONTACT US FIRST at support@goonmaster.io (or SegPay consumer support, listed above) before opening a dispute with your bank. The discreet billing descriptor means GOONMASTER charges are not always obvious on a statement — most “unknown charge” reports we receive turn out to be a forgotten renewal, which we can locate and resolve in days, often faster than a bank dispute resolves in weeks.
We take payment disputes seriously and respond to every one. However, chargebacks filed without any prior contact, where the charge was valid, may result in suspension of the associated account pending resolution, and repeated abusive chargebacks may lead to termination.
Nothing in this section limits your legal right to dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer.
